MacArthur Fellowship Awarded to Melanie Sanford (University of Michigan)
Melanie Sanford of the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor) received a MacArthur Fellowship for her work on transition metal catalysts in organic reactions!

Oregon Universities Awarded $20 Million Green Chemistry Grant
Oregon State University and the University of Oregon have obtained a $20 million grant for The Center for Sustainable Materials Chemistry. This grant is aimed at supporting Green Chemistry industry through novel research at universities. 2011 Dow Sustainability Innovation Student Challenge Winners Announced
Winners of the 2011 Dow Sustainability Innovation Student Challenge were recently announced. This award recognizes students who are involved in innovative solutions to social, economical, and environmental problems.
